Redomiciliation: prices by jurisdiction
Starting prices excluding tax, government fees included.
What the service covers
- Checking that both jurisdictions permit continuation.
- Obtaining the certificate of good standing and the required consents.
- Filing in the receiving jurisdiction and striking off in the original one.
- Transferring the bank accounts and attached contracts.
In practice
Continuation, or redomiciliation, lets a company change its country of registration while remaining the same legal person: same contracts, same history, often the same name. It requires the law of the departure country to allow the exit and that of the arrival country to accept the entry. The arrival country usually asks for proof that the company is in good standing where it comes from; the departure country then confirms its removal. Banks often review the file again, since the jurisdiction has changed.
What we tell you before we start
Not every jurisdiction permits continuation. Where it is impossible, a new company must be formed and assets transferred — which has tax consequences to be costed beforehand.
