What is a CASP authorisation?
A crypto-asset service provider (CASP) is authorised under Regulation (EU) 2023/1114 (MiCA) by the competent authority of its home member state, then passports its services across the EU / EEA after notification. Minimum permanent capital (Annex IV): €50,000 for class 1, €125,000 for class 2, €150,000 for class 3. The transitional period of Article 143(3) ended on 1 July 2026 at the latest.
